Post Detoxification Addiction Treatment
Addiction is a chronic disease. Detoxification is the first step on the road to recovery. Maintaining sobriety is the next challenge.
For some, organizations such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are helpful as well as outpatient chemical dependency treatment programs. Other patients, particularly those with social anxiety, prefer a more individualized approach – one tailored to his/her needs and free of the anxiety many experience in a group treatment setting.
In either case, I am available to work with patients one-on-one long after detoxification has been completed to help maintain sobriety and to address additional problems that may emerge (e.g. depression, anxiety, chronic pain). And – as indicated above – I can also provide long-term medically assisted treatment (e.g. Suboxone) if desired.
